In 2014, the director Henrik Ruben Genz visited the castle to make the Danish historical film TORDENSKIOLD.
The year 1720 is runing, the peace treaties have been signed, the war is over and the naval Vice Admiral Tordenskiold has absolutely no idea what to do with his life. His servant Kolda persuades him to travel to England, but the mission turns into a hilarious and grotesque journey from Copenhagen, through Denmark and into northern Germany. The film focuses on the last few weeks of the Norwegian national hero's life, and portrays Vice Admiral Tordenskiold as the type of man who is slowly fading away.
